Despite returning sub-par cards in the first two rounds, Atwal couldn't make the cut.
Cromwell: Indian golfer Arjun Atwal was unlucky to miss the cut despite returning sub-par cards in the first two rounds of the Traveler's Championships Golf here.
Seeming to have made the cut, Atwal was left one shot shy despite carding one-under 69 and two-under 68 as the halfway line dropped to four-under 136.
Swede Frederik Jacobson fired a seven-under 63, his third consecutive bogey-free round, to take the lead.
Jacobson closed with a 30-feet birdie putt on the 18th for his third error-free round after carding 65 and 66 on the first two days.
He is now 16-under at TPC River Highlands. Bryce Molder, who also opened with rounds of 65 and 66, shot a 64 and sits a stroke behind Jacobson.
