BJP leadership summons Ananth

BANGALORE: In a significant development BJP national general secretary H N Ananthkumar has been summoned by the party high command to discuss developments in the wake of damning indictment of Chief Minister B S Yeddyurappa in the leaked Lokayukta report on illegal mining. Kumar who has been camping in Bangalore for past one week rushed to the national capital after he was summoned by party national president Nitin Gadkari.Kumar is expected to apprise the party leadership of the developments in the state and the fall-out of Lokayukta report which is expected to be out on Wednesday.Kumar, a known bete noire of Yeddyurappa, is also likely to convey the ‘’true’’ feelings of the local leaders and legislators. However, sources close to Kumar refused to attach any significance to his visit to New Delhi. “Since he is the secretary of BJP parliamentary committee, it is quite natural that he is expected in all important party meetings.Moreover, he is from Karnataka and one should not be surprised by the party’s decision to take views on matters relating to the state,’’ they said. They added that too much should not be read into the development.
