Auto major BMW India on Monday launched a new initiative for providing a better road-side assistance to its customers across the country.

The new initiative, 'BMW Secure Assistance', with a fleet of 17 BMW X3 Customer Service Vehicles (CSV), would allow BMW dealerships to provide professional road-side assistance to customers.

"By supporting our product portfolio with best in class after-sales initiative like BMW Secure Assistance, we are setting new benchmarks in customer orientation and after sales support," BMW Group India President, Philipp von Sahr, said in a statement.

A fleet of a specially equipped BMW X3 across our dealer network is a best in class practice amongst premium brands and is focused to exceed the customer expectations, he added. The specially-equipped fleet would include tools, tyres, and batteries.

BMW sells a range of vehicles in India, including sedans 3, 5, 6 and 7 Series, along with SUVs X1, X3, X5 and sports car M Series. The company's product portfolio also includes luxury compact car, the Mini series.
