THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The State Institute of Languages is all set to walk into the Limca Book of World Records for the publisher to release the most number of books in one ceremony. The Institute will release 141 books published under its banner at an event which will be held at the open air auditorium of Vyloppilli Samskrithi Bhavan here at 4.30 pm on Monday.  As many as 141 dignitaries from various fields, including Chief Minister Oommen Chandy and cabinet ministers like K C Joseph, V S Sivakumar and A P Anilkumar, noted journalists, writers, elected representatives, scientists, teachers and artists will release the books. A special podium has been set up at Vyloppilli Samskrithi Bhavan in such a way that all the 141 dignitaries can carry out the book-release ceremony simultaneously.   According to the authorities of the State Institute of Languages, it is for the first time ever that such an event is being held, in which a vast number of books on knowledge and scientific literature are released. The books cover a wide gamut of topics, including music, literature, art, philosophy, folk arts and science and technology.  The work of all the books was also undertaken simultaneously. ‘’No other book publisher has been able to achieve such a feat before. The officials of the Limca Book of World Records have also confirmed the fact. Also, the number 141 holds relevance as it is also number of members elected to the Legislative Assembly in the state,’’ said a statement issued by the State Institute of Languages.
