Bribe row: Will court summon Army Chief?
Lt General Tejinder Singh has filed a criminal defamation case against General V K Singh and four other officers.

New Delhi: A Delhi court is slated to decide on whether or not to summon Indian Army Chief General V K Singh in connection with the criminal defamation case filed by Retired Lt General Tejinder Singh against him and four other top officers.

In March, the Army Chief had written a letter to Prime Minister Manmohan Singh alleging that he was offered a Rs 14 crore bribe by Lt Gen Tejinder Singh to clear a purchase of sub-standard trucks.

A team of the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) met the Army Chief on Friday to record his statement regarding the case.

Simultaneous raids have also been carried on Tatra and BEML bosses, following the Army Chief's charges.
