Car, bike set on fire

The District Congress committee office here also became the target of attacks by the  alleged groups of CPM workers, protesting against the arrest of P Jayarajan on Monday. A car and a motorbike parked on the premises of the DCC office were set afire. Some of the papers and posters placed on the premises of the office were set ablaze.Meanwhile, a district leader of the CPM here, N Chandran sustained injuries in a scuffle with the police. CPM leaders said that he was badly beaten up by the police. He was admitted to the hospital later.
