HYDERABAD: As part of its investigation of cases pertaining to YSR Congress chief Jagan Mohan Reddy and "irregularities" in the APIIC-Emaar land deal, the CBI on Sunday issued notices to two firms and was in the process of serving notices to the other accused, including the YSR Congress chief.“The examination (of the accused) process will begin soon. Notices have been issued to an official of Jagathi Publications and a Bangalore-based firm today. More notices will be served from tomorrow against all those who have been listed as accused in both cases. Notices will also be issued to witnesses,” a senior CBI officer said, adding that the agency would also issue a notice to Jaganmohan Reddy. The CBI notices require the persons concerned to appear before the agency in connection with the probe into investments received by Jaganmohan Reddy's businesses during his father's tenure as chief minister. The official said the agency is scrutinising the documents and hard disks that were seized from various business establishments and residences during the searches that were carried out last week at different firms.Responding to a query whether the CBI has asked banks to freeze the accounts of Jaganmohan and others, he replied in the negative.
