A video showcasing IndiGo passengers engaging in a devotional performance, singing a popular bhajan and playing the dholak while aboard a fully occupied flight, has gained significant traction on social media. The footage, whose date remains unspecified, surfaced on ‘X ‘, approximately two weeks after the inauguration of the Ram Temple in Ayodhya.
In the clip, an IndiGo passenger is captured skillfully playing the dholak while rendering the revered bhajan “Raghupati Raghav Raja Ram.” Accompanying passengers can be observed either clapping in rhythm or joining in the singing, albeit a few preferring to remain passive observers.

Since its circulation, the video has amassed over 770K views on the aforementioned social media platform, where it was uploaded on Tuesday. While many commended the display of devotion mid-flight, a segment of online users pondered whether such singing bhajans within an aircraft might disrupt fellow passengers.
“Ok. This is a bit much. This should not be allowed. Public nuisance nahin hona chahiye. Everything has a time and place,” commented one user. Another polite request read, “Just an advise: This can be dangerous as well. I would appreciate if these people worship Shree Ram once their flight lands. People should avoid doing anything that may cause distraction during a flight. You may disturb others as well…There might be someone on the plane who is tired and wants to relax, we should also take care of these things.”
The third bluntly inquired, “Hey @IndiGo6E are you running an airline or the second compartment from the engine of a Virar Fast local kalyan fast local ?”
Meanwhile, details regarding the destination of the Indigo flight remain undisclosed. However, connectivity to Ayodhya has notably surged following the inauguration of the Ram Mandir on January 22.
Earlier, a similar fervour related to Ayodhya’s Ram Mandir was witnessed among devotees on January 11, during the maiden flight to Ayodhya. Passengers, dressed as Lord Ram and Hanuman, congregated at the Ahmedabad airport to board the IndiGo flight.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated the Maharishi Valmiki International Airport in the sacred city of Ayodhya following the unveiling of the Ayodhya Railway Station on December 30.
The Airports Authority of India spearheaded the development of Ayodhya Airport in accordance with the memorandum of understanding inked with the Government of Uttar Pradesh in April of the preceding year. This state-of-the-art airport has been established at an estimated cost exceeding Rs. 1,450 crore.
Spanning an area of 6,500 square metres, the airport’s terminal building is poised to accommodate approximately 10 lakh passengers annually. Its exterior design mirrors the architectural grandeur of the forthcoming Shri Ram Mandir of Ayodhya, while the interior is adorned with indigenous artwork, paintings, and murals depicting the life of Lord Shri Ram.
