Church stoned in Kankanady

MANGALORE: Close on the heels of stoning of St Theresa School in Bendoorwell, St Alphonsa Church in Kankanady was pelted with stones on Thursday night. A suspect in an inebriated state was detained for questioning, police sources told The New Indian Express. Following the stone throwing incident, senior police officers including Mangalore Commissioner of Police Seemant Kumar Singh, Deputy Commissioner of Police (crime) Dharmaiah and Assistant Commissioner of Police Jagannath rushed to the spot.
