New Delhi: It was a cold morning in the national capital on Thursday with the minimum temperature settling at 9 degrees Celsius, even as fog resulted in cancellation of 37 trains.
Flight operations though were normal in the morning, airport officials said. According to MeT officials, relative humidity was recorded at 100 per cent at 8:30 AM.
Shallow to moderate foggy conditions were witnessed in the morning affecting the visibility which was recorded at 800 meters at 5:30 AM. It significantly dropped to 300 meters at 8.30 AM. The MeT office has predicted partly cloudy skies for the day.
"The skies will be partly cloudy. The maximum temperature is expected to hover around 24 degrees Celsius," said the weatherman. On Wednesday, the maximum and minimum temperatures were recorded at 24.2 degrees Celsius and 9 degrees Celsius respectively.
