Cong, JD(S) responsible for illegal mining

DAVANGERE: The Congress and JD(S) are responsible for the illegal mining in the state as BJP government has not given a single license for mining activities in state, said Excise Minister M P Renukacharya on Saturday.Addressing the press, Renukacharya said that illegal mining had commenced during S M Krishna’s regime and permission had been given for taking up such mining in reserved forest areas.He added that during Dharam Singh’s regime as chief minister, `28 crore as royalty, which was due to state government, did not come at all.“The BJP has not suffered damage to its image due to leakage of report,” he said.
