BARIPADA: Gorumohisani police in Mayurbhanj district arrested Bikesh Gupta (24) on Friday for the recent attack on a manager of a mining company. On September 27, Rajkumar Sharma (60), a manager with Gorumohisani mining limited, was attacked near his residence in Bhagalpur village. The miscreant fired at him when he accompanied by a colleague got down from a vehicle. Gupta was nabbed from his residence.IIC Trilochan Sethy said Gupta was an employee in the mining company and the act was to avenge his dismissal for dereliction of duty. “We are verifying involvement of others in the incident. Gupta will be produced in court on Saturday,” he informed.Meanwhile, Sharma with bullet injuries in his stomach is undergoing treatment at a private hospital.He was earlier attacked by miscreants in a similar fashion, about a year back.
