BANGALORE: The advocates’ boycott of courts on Monday seems to have landed former chief minister B S Yeddyurappa in trouble. Yeddyurappa, who had received summons to appear before the Lokayukta court on Monday in connection with a land denotification case, sought to inform the court about his inability to be present at the court. But since the advocates had boycotted courts on Monday in connection with the ongoing tussle with journalists, Yeddyurappa sent his request letter to the court through a clerk. When the clerk presented the letter, the judge took objection to this and said the request cannot be accepted as it was not the proper procedure and issued a warrant to Yeddyurappa, his kin and Setty. Lokayukta special court judge N K Sudhindhra Rao who issued NBWs against Yeddyurappa, his two sons B Y Raghavendra, B Y Vijayendra, son-in-law Sohan Kumar and former housing minister Setty, directed them to appear without fail on March 24.The case pertains to the alleged land denotification by Yeddyurappa in Rachenahalli based on a private complaint filed by Sirajuddin Basha.
