KANNUR: Yet another bout of violent incidents and attacks on buses and party offices was reported from Munderi in the district on Friday.This time, the target of attacks were CPM offices and vehicles belonging to the supporters of the party. Two private buses parked at Munderi, a van belonging to a milk society and a jeep were damaged by an unidentified group of people early on Friday morning.A library at Chekkikulam under the control of the CPM and the local committee office at Cheruvathala were destroyed by the miscreants. Country bombs were hurled at the library and three unexploded bombs were recovered from its premises. CPM flags along the road in the Valiyannur region were destroyed. Bus service on the Chekkikkulam-District Hospital road was stopped following the violent incidents. The attacks were said to be a sequel to a recent incident in which two private buseswere set afire at Kattampally. The police had failed to arrest anyone involved in the incident.
