BHUBANESWAR: Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on Tuesday directed the Revenue Department to create awareness on the State Government's decision to settle the record of rights (RoR) of different kinds of land in favour of people residing on them.
Naveen reviewed the progress of giving RoR to people who are residing on 'gramkantha parambok', 'abadi', 'khasmahal' and 'nazul' lands. Official sources said such lands are found in 19 districts of the State. 'Gramkantha parambok' land is found in Ganjam, Gajapati, Koraput, Nabarangpur, Rayagada and Kandhamal districts. 'Abadi' land is found in Bargarh, Jharsuguda, Sambalpur, Malkangiri, Nuapada and Balangir districts while Cuttack, Khurda, Puri, Angul, Bhadrak and Kandhamal districts have 'khasmal' land. 'Nazul' land is found in Sambalpur, Jharsuguda, Kalahandi, Sundargarh and Balangir districts.
