New Delhi: An eight-year-old girl was raped by a 40-year-old neighbour in New Delhi, police said on Sunday. The accused is on the run.
Suspect Rajinder, a jobless man who is the neighbour of the girl in Sarai Rohilla area of north Delhi, lured the victim to his house on Saturday evening and raped her, police said.
"The girl's parents approached us on Saturday night," said a police officer, adding that a medical examination confirmed rape.
