Kabir Khan denies the rumour that the central character of the film is inspired from real-life Ravindra Kaushik.

New Delhi: Known for his reality-inspired projects 'New York' and 'Kabul Express', filmmaker Kabir Khan says he makes films not to set or break any record at the Box Office. Kabir, who is back with Salman Khan starrer 'Ek Tha

Tiger' after a gap of three years, said he just wants his films to be remembered even after five years.

"There is a lot of anticipation with 'Ek Tha Tiger' - whether the film would enter the 100 crore club or set a new record of 200-crore box office earnings."

"My films are beyond all these records. I just want my films to meet certain boundaries in terms of storyline and performance so that the audience remember my films after five years," said Kabir, who was in the Capital today to promote

'Ek Tha Tiger' with Salman.

The action thriller revolves around the adventures of a secret agent titled Tiger, who is out to foil the attempts of anti-national elements.

He also denied rumours that the central character of the film is inspired from real-life Indian spy late Ravindra Kaushik, insisting the film is not about India and Pakistan.

"I read about him in the papers. This is the first time I've heard of him. It's an interesting story. But it's not the story of my film. It's a fictitious film and there is no resemblance to intelligence agencies of India and Pakistan," he added.

Produced by Yash Raj films, 'Ek Tha Tiger' will hit theatres on August 15.
