Engineering student jumps to death

A 22-year-old engineering student died after falling from a five-storied apartment here on Sunday. The incident took place at Alamra Colony in the Golkonda police station limits.

According to police, the victim, Saketh, reportedly committed suicide. He was from Adilabad district and  had been staying in a boys’  hostel at Alamra Colony.

Around 6.30 am on Sunday, some students noticed his body and informed the hostel management. The hostel management alerted the police who in turn rushed to the spot and shifted the body to Osmania General Hospital for a postmortem examination.

“We are investing whether the victim committed suicide or he was pushed to take extreme action,’’ said police.
