Fire engulfs building

CUTTACK: Fire engulfed a four-storey building at Nandisahi destroying property worth lakhs of rupees on Tuesday evening. The building, belonging to one Kailash Agarwal, was used as a godown as well as for residential purposes.  There has been no casualty or injuries in the mishap though.The fire that was noticed at about 9.30 pm on the top floor of the building gradually spread to the other two floors as well.  The ground floor was used for residential purpose by the Agarwal family while the first floor was the godown for garments and textiles.  The top two floors were used to store plastic items, disposables and polythene material. Fire service personnel pressed six fire engines into service. The fire was controlled after three hours. The exact cause of the fire is yet to be ascertained.
