BANGALORE: The Lokayukta police on Saturday filed a fresh FIR against the former chief minister B S Yeddyurappa, Housing Minister V Somanna and two others in the illegal land denotification case.The Lokayutka Special Court had admitted a private case filed by Ravi Krishna Reddy, a software engineer, against Yeddyurappa, Somanna, his wife Shailaja and Lingaiah, the owner of the denotified land, on November 22. The court had also directed the police to file investigation report on December 26.Following this, the sleuths of the anti-corruption agency registered a case and filed an FIR in the court on Saturday evening. Ravi Krishna Reddy, a US returned software engineer, had filed a private complaint in the court alleging that Yeddyurappa, when he was the chief minister, had illegally denotified 22 guntas of government land in Nagadevanahalli to an education trust owned by Somanna’s wife Shailaja, in 2009.
