New Delhi: Rom-coms are the need of the hour in Bollywood. Success percentage of romantic comedies is any day better than serious films in India. The director Aditya Datt's 'Will You Marry Me' is another light film that is scheduled to hit the screens on March 2.
The film has a very interesting storyline which features three friends Aarav (Shreyas Talpade), Rajveer (Rajeev Khandelwal), and Nikhil (Muzamil Ibrahim) and their love for remaining bachelor. This fetish initiates a challenge among the boys which has a specific clause that whosoever will get married first will have to pay a fortune to the other two members of the group.
So all three members of the group contribute some money until a few years later when one of the friends Nikhil decides to settle down with Anjali (Tripta Prashar).
Aarav and Rajveer attend Nikhil's beach wedding despite feeling sad about their friend's life after marriage.
During the wedding, both the guys fall for Anjali's best friend Sneha (Mugdha Godse) but the situation gets complicated when a business tycoon (Paresh Rawal) kidnaps Nikhil. Now the question is whether Nikhil will be able to attend his own marriage or not. Further who will Sneha choose?
None of the actors featuring in the film have any established market value. Most known face among all these is of Shreyas Talpade but he is not a bankable actor, he is typecast too. Rajeev Khandelwal's acting talent has been seen in the past and he can pull off a lover boy's role with ease. Though he appears to be more comfortable in doing serious roles but his TV show 'Kahin Toh Hoga' is still not forgotten.
Mugdha Godse and Muzamil Ibrahim have a lot to prove. Ibrahim had got a good debut in 'Dhokha' but failed to capitalize that opportunity.
The music has not fetched any attention so far and the director is also not very experienced, so the film's future is entirely dependent on the promotions.####
