New Delhi: The animated comedy based on comic book series is back with its sequel. 'The Smurfs 2' will see the evil wizard Gargamel create Smurf-like creatures to harness the magical Smurf-essence. Katy Perry, Jonathan Winters, Christina Ricci, JB Smoove, George Lopez, Anton Yelchin, John Oliver have lend their voice to the characters.
Britney Spears is going 'Ooh La La' for the Smurfs with a song for upcoming summer movie 'The Smurfs 2'. "I have always loved the Smurfs as a kid and now my boys are the biggest Smurfs fans EVER. I wanted to surprise them with a song in the movie," the pop singer and mother of two said in a statement.
Her recording 'Ooh La La' will play at the end credits for 'The Smurfs 2,' a part animated, part live family comedy that is releasing on August 2 in India.
Directed by Raja Gosnell, the first installment of the animation series was hugely popular throughout the world and thus the makers would be hoping for a good start for the second edition as well, but the content will soon take over the promotions and then the film will have to deliver.
The film will see people with absolutely different ideas in search of a secret formula that is safe with Papa Smurf, but will he be able to protect it?
This time the drama takes a centerstage in Paris where the Smurfs learn the value of friendship and loyalty through an adventurous trip which is about to change their lives forever. (With inputs from Reuters)
