Frontier Lifeline conducts cardiology camp

CHENNAI: Dr K.M. Cherian’s Frontier Lifeline Hospital conducted a free heart check up camp on Sunday at the Singaram Pillai Matriculation and Higher Secondary School, Villivakkam from 8am to 2pm. The camp was organised in view of Tamil Nadu Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa’s birthday.A total of 100 people, including 70 men and 30 women were screened at the camp.The camp was aimed at creating an awareness on cardiac ailments and the importance of regular cardiac health check-up. The people were screened for cardiac problems by the cardiologists from Frontier Lifeline Hospital.Initially, the participants were taken through systematic process of screening tests including free spirometry and peak expiratory flow measurements. The nurses and physician assistants recorded the history of diseases of the registered participants.Basic tests like ECG, Echo and Blood sugar tests were done during the camp.The doctors advised the participants on how to maintain a healthy heart. Also, participants identified with heart ailments were recommended for further consultation.Frontier Lifeline conducts such camps periodically to help spread awareness and take heart care to the masses.
