THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The December Fest as part of the Grand Kerala Shopping Festival season five will begin at the Kanakakkunnu grounds here on December 25. A medical exhibition by the Thiruvananthapuram Medical College will also be held at the Kanakkakkunnu Palace.A ‘Kerala village’ will be the highlight of the festival. Tribal cuisine and a tree house are other attractions. A food court, including wayside eateries and stalls by five-star hotels, and an amusement park for children also await the visitors. Film shows will be held on all evenings in association with the Chalachitra Academy. Theyyam performances, tribal dances, music programmes, cinematic dance and magic show will also organised as part of the programme.DRAW OF LOTSThe third weekly draw of lots to select the winners of GKSF Season 5 will be held in Wayanad on December 25. The venue is SKMJ High School, Kalpetta. Thirty-five winners will be selected from the customers who shopped at the partner shops, said a release here on Saturday. Fifteen persons will win the first prize worth 10 gold sovereigns and twenty persons the second prize of five gold sovereigns.The mega draw of lots will also be held. Arts programmes have also been organised as part of the programme.
