Goa policemen, who have been facing flak for bad policing, will take a tip or two from the 'reel' life of Ajay Devgn, who played an upright cop in 'Singham'.
Goa Director General of Police Aditya Arya has organised a special screening of the hit Hindi film for his officers in the 900-odd seat capacity auditorium of Kala Academy on September 11.
Arya said the film is being shown to motivate the force to do the right thing.
"They should know that if somebody does a right thing then all the people will rally behind him," DGP told PTI.
He said that the act of even single person tarnishes the image of the entire department.
"My aim is to make them do something good for society," said Arya, who recently took over the reigns from his predecessor B S Bassi.
The DGP after assuming the charge has been on a visiting spree to various police stations and has even suspended policemen, who were found to be lax, bringing in some discipline into the force.
Rohit Shetty's 'Singham' was partially shot in Goa and had mention of the Goa police.
Devgn plays a super cop, who fights all odds within and outside the department.
