Goa explosion: Terror angle ruled out, Karnataka Police joins probe
A large number of migrant workers from Karnataka live in the slums of Goa.

Panaji: The Goa Police has ruled out a terror angle in the explosion that took place in Madgaon, Goa on Thursday. Preliminary investigation reveals it was a "gauti bomb" which exploded and killed one person, injured two others.

A team of the National Security Guard has left for the spot from Mumbai after the Goa Police sought its help in defusing some of the crude bombs still present in the house where the blast took place.

The deceased hails from the neighbouring Karnataka. The Karnataka Police has now joined the investigation and a team has reached Goa in this regard. A large number of migrant workers from Karnataka live in the slums of Goa.

A blast took place at a house in Chandor village, on the outskirts of Madgoan on Thursday evening.
