HONNALI: The state government is planning to adopt Holeharalahalli, a border village in the taluk, and develop it, said Excise Minister and MLA of Honnali M P Renukacharya.Renukacharya said that many beneficial programmes had been started in Holeharalahalli village. In Honnali town, building of the 100-bedded hospital is in progress and Rs 10 crore will be spent on this project, he said. Hospital Administrator Dr Hulmani has been advised to bring in total co-ordination among doctors, para-medical staff and other staff at the new hospital to serve better, he said. The state government has ordered that hundi (temple offering box) contributions from Marikoppa, Sunkadakatte, Soratur and Kundur temples be utilised for developmental works of these temples. The state government has released Rs 3.50 crore for building major tanks and drinking water pipelines in the taluk, Renukacharya said and added that Kulaghatte, Hosakatte and Hanumasagar which were Inam villages earlier have been converted into revenue villages. Construction of bathrooms, toilets, rest rooms, priest quarters, compound for the temples, box drainage systems and drinking water facilities will be undertaken in Haladamma Devi temple,  Marikoppa; Narasimhaswamy temple, Sunkadakatte; and Manjunatha Swamy temple, he said. Tahsildar Shylaja said that Rs 25 lakh will be released for repair works at Marikoppa village.
