CHENNAI: Sun Pictures COO Hansraj Saxena, who was arrested on Sunday in connection with a cheating case, was remanded in police custody on Tuesday.Saxena was arrested at the airport following a complaint lodged by T S Selvaraj, owner of Kandan Films in Salem.According to the complaint filed with the City Police Commissioner on July 1,  Sun Pictures signed a `1.25 crore deal to sell the distribution rights to the film Theeratha Vilayatu Pillai starring actor Vishal, for the Salem area. However, Saxena distributed the film directly to theatre owners. Though Selvaraj asked Saxena to return the money, he allegedly delayed the payment of the balance amount of  `82.53 lakh.On January 5, when he approached Saxena over the issue, he was allegedly threatened. Saxena was produced before 9th Metropolitan Magistrate Thirumagal at Saidapet and was remanded in police custody till July 7. On Tuesday, the Saidapet court heard a police plea, seeking five-day custody of Saxena to question him in connection with the case. After hearing the arguments from both sides, the magistrate granted a two-day custody of Saxena.
