New Delhi: Madhuri Dixit says she missed being in front of the camera as the actress prepared to start shooting her comeback film, a newspaper reported on Thursday.
“What I missed was being in front of the camera and assuming various characters,” Madhuri told a national daily. “Yeah I missed that, I'm glad to have it back,” She says.
“I don't miss the adulation or the glamour, though it is good to know people still miss me,” says the actress who stopped working to raise her two children.
Madhuri says shooting for the film would begin in January and most likely be finished in three months. The film is to be produced by veteran Bollywood filmmaker Yash Chopra and directed by Anil Mehta.
Madhuri stopped acting after marrying US-based surgeon Shriram Nene in 1999.
Her last hit movie, released in 2002, was Devdas, in which she played a courtesan in a saga of doomed love.
