CHENNAI: Understanding of godTo me, god means ‘blind faith.’ No one has ever proved his existence, but yet I believe in the supreme power that makes me smile, cry and allows me to live life to the fullest.Spiritual PracticesYou can pray from anywhere and everywhere. Calmness and peacefulness are required the most. Moreover, I love visiting different temples to know more about their religious practices and culture. Every temple is unique and has amazing architecture. Spiritual beliefsI am not superstitious, I don’t have a set of beliefs. I simply trust god. Pilgrimage sites I am from Kerala, Guruvayoor and I love visiting the place for its rich legacy. It makes me feel closer to god and I’m at peace with myself when I offer prayers to the deity Guruvayoorappan.Spiritual ExperienceFeeling god within oneself is an exhilarating experience. God has never let me down in life, and I am grateful to him for that. Whenever I have been on a wrong path, he has guided and shown me the way, and whenever I have cried or been upset, he has shown me how to fight it and smile. I experience his existence every second of my life and I feel very blessed. Meditation and awakeningI’m not into meditation or any spiritual practices as such. But, when I wake up every morning, I close my eyes, sit on my bed and lose myself in thought for about 10 minutes. I start every single day by thanking god for making me what I am.
