Information Technology: What it is

Say, it’s your favourite aunt’s birthday, today, and she lives in the US. Even a decade back, your card (not the e-card type) would take six or seven days to reach her by post. Today, you can log on to the Internet and five clicks and 30 seconds, later, she’s got a big smile on her face. A minute after that, she calls you to tell her how much she loved your e-card or e-mail! That’s the magic of Information Technology (popularly referred to as IT). Information today, changes and travels faster than you can say the word ‘Technology’!
