It was a different experience to play Radhika in Hello: Amrita

Mumbai: Hello is ready to hit theaters this Friday and the team is busy promoting the movie.

CNN-IBN caught Amrita Arora, Sharman Joshi and Gul Panag talking about their new film Hello at a radio station.

Amrita who usually plays the glam doll - goes for a completely deglamourised look in the film.

“I play the role of this girl called Radhika. She is a very simple girl. The only thing that makes her happy or the only thing that gives her happiness is to make her loved ones happy. When I say loved ones it is only her husband. She had this whole personality change because he wants her to be a certain way in front of his parents and of course the reality of the situation is that they don't really appreciate her for what all she has done for them. She kind of looks for different things to make them feel happy from that man she turns to sleeping pills kind of situation,” says Amrita about her role in the movie.

“For the first time I'm playing such a character and it was really, I wouldn't say fun to play Radhika but it was a different experience to play Radhika,” adds the actor.

And though Salman Khan makes a special appearance in Hello, he is the main highlight in the film's promotional videos. And if those who have read Chetan Bhagat's One Night at a Call Centre are wondering where Salman fits in.

“We have the privilege of having Salman in the star cast. He is an integral part of the script. As in the novel where Chetan Bhagat he is hearing the story through this one person, where Chetan Bhagat is the author. So in this case Salman is playing the actor he is playing Salman Khan the actor, himself. He is at this performance at a rock show there after he meets this person Katrina Kaif and he gets to hear the story from her. So is he is an integral part of the story so sure enough Salman Khan is going to lead the promotions of the film. Because he is Salman Khan and what better way to promote a film by having him in the promos,” says Sharman Joshi.
