HYDERABAD: Harassment of political opponents has been taking place under the Congress dispensation and that is the reason why his mother and party honorary president YS Vijayamma has written to the prime minister to keep the CBI on the leash, Lok Sabha member and YSR Congress president YS Jaganmohan Reddy has said.“She presumed that the prime minister was unaware of the unethical practices of the CBI in investigating a case. That was why Vijayamma had to write to him,” he explained.Speaking to newspersons at Gandhi Medical College here on Tuesday, Reddy, who extended solidarity with protesting members of the Junior Doctor Association, said: “It is happening to me now. It may happen to you tomorrow.” Addressing junior doctors, he said that when the YSR Congress came to power, he would be able to solve their problems in a matter of five minutes.“I will accept each of the eleven demands except the one for cutting short the duration of rural service,” he said, adding that serving in rural areas was noble and hoped he could convince junior doctors on this demand.
