The police and the Fire and Rescue Services personnel recovered the body from a pool of mud, about 25 metres away from her house. The body of her husband Madhu was recovered earlier.Madhu and Nalini were cremated on the premises of the house of their son Ratheesh at Poovalloor.The bodies of couple Iype and Leela were laid to rest at the Njarakkad St John’s Jacobite church. The funeral of Ouseph was held at Njarakkad St Joseph’s Catholic church while Narayanan was cremated on his house premises. Ministers P J Joseph and Anoop Jacob, Joseph Vazhakkan MLA and P T Thomas MP participated in funerals.The preliminary loss due to landslide is estimated to be around Rs 1.5 crore.
