New Delhi: The 59th National Awards have heightened the anticipation surrounding director Sujoy Ghosh's film Kahaani which hits the theatres on March 9 after its main protagonist Vidya Balan won the Best Actress award for her portrayal of 80's soft porn star Silk Smitha in the biopic The Dirty Picture.
Produced and directed by Ghosh, this will be Vidya's fourth woman-centric film after Ishqiya, No One Killed Jessica and The Dirty Picture. The film also features Bengali actor Parambrata Chatterjee and Nawazuddin Siddiqui in prominent roles.
