Kapil Sibal hails 'historic' Land Acquisition Bill

New Delhi: Union Minister Kapil Sibal hailed the Lok Sabha's decision to pas the Land Acquisition Bill, calling it an historic Bill. The minister said that farmers will benefit the most through the bill.

Sibal also addressed concerns that the bill was against the private sector. "As far as private sector is concerned, they are entitled to negotiate with the farmers and purchase the land. Certainly the difficulties of private sector will also be addressed,"
