Keep walking to fight diabetes

KOCHI: ‘DiaWalk-2011,’ a joint initiative by KIMS Hospital and Najath School, to create awareness about diabetes, was organised in Kochi on Monday. MLA Hibi Eden flagged off DiaWalk 2011 at the Jawaharlal Nehru International Stadium in Kaloor. People from various sections of the society participated in the event. The idea behind the event was to tell people that diabetes can be defeated by walking.As part of the awareness drive, KIMS Hospital had conducted a free cardiac and diabetic camp at the hospital premises.
