KOCHI: Keli International Kalamela 2012, the arts festival of non-residential Keralites, drew to a close in the Swiss city of Zurich. Around 300 artists from various countries took part in the fest which was conducted under the aegis of Surya India and the Indian Embassy. The Surya India Kalathilakam Trophy was presented to Bluinse Ann Thomas, while Steeja Chirakal and Shilpa Thaliyath bagged the Fr Abel Memorial Trophy and the Keli Kalaratna Trophy, respectively. This year’s Keli Kala Puraskaram was conferred on singer Vidhu Prathap at the valedictory function. Councillor at the Indian Embassy in Zurich, Nagendra Prasad, and vice-president of Fehraltorf muncipality of Zurich, Walter Schmid, were among the guests. A musical show by Vidhu Prathap and a Biryani Feast hosted by chef Naushad were among the attractions of the fest.
