Three people have been arrested for abducting and killing a seven-year-old child of a businessman in Kalyan in Thane district.
Prime accused in the case Rajendra More (20) used to work at the shop of the child's father. More wanted some money to start his business, so he kidnapped the boy on Wednesday from outside his residence.
More asked for a ransom of Rs 15 lakh from the child's father, Santosh Jain and on the same night he and his aides strangulated the boy and dumped his body in a river.
Next day, he asked Jain to throw the money from a running train.
The accused while collecting the bag were chased by police and were later caught.
