TIRUPUR: An elderly man was brutally attacked by a man near Gudimangalam following a dispute that arose over buying a cup of tea.Police said that Marimuthu (70), a resident of Muruganpatty village near Gudimangalam, on Tuesday approached Gangatharan (32) of the same area and asked him to buy a cup of tea for him. As he refused, a quarrel broke out between them. An enraged Gangatharan grabbed an iron rod and assaulted Marimuthu. The latter severe injuries on his head and was rushed to Udumalpet GH.
