BHUBANESWAR: Following in the footsteps of his father Biju Patnaik, Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on Friday made the property statements of the ministers public.The Opposition, however, dismissed this as another g immick before the panchayat polls as the State Government is reeling under several scams. Naveen is the richest minister in his Cabinet with movable and immovable property of Rs 119,948,769 or nearly Rs 12 crore. While the Chief Minister’s movable property is of Rs 1,086,769 which includes an ambassador car of 1980 model with a price of Rs 20,000, his immovable property totals Rs 118,862,000.Naveen has inherited farm land measuring 22.7 acres in Haryana from his mother Gyan Patnaik whose price is Rs 34,334,000.His inherited property from his father and mother at Aurengzeb Road in New Delhi is worth Rs 51,428,000. He also has two-thirds in property at Naveen Nivas here having a cost of Rs 2.8 crore.His share at Anand Bhavan, Cuttack is Rs 51 lakh. Minister for excise and public enterprises AU Singhdeo has shown property of Rs 21,062,051 in his name which includes immovable property of Rs 9,922,500. His wife Vijay Laxmi Singhdeo has property of Rs 26,813,204 including immovable property of Rs 16,047,000. Finance minister Prafulla Chandra Ghadei has movable and immovable property Rs 23,331,074 while his wife has property of Rs 59 lakh.Revenue and Disaster Management Minister Surjya Narayan Patro has movable and immovable property of Rs 1,76,645,95 in his name.Besides, he has shares and debentures worth Rs 3,781,245 in his name. His wife Rajashree Patro has property (movable and immovable) in her name.Forest and Environment Minister Debi Prasad Mishra has movable and immovable property of Rs 9,898,489 while his wife has property of Rs 6,507,442. His dependent son Dibyajyoti Mishra has property of Rs 325,150.Agriculture Minister Pradip Maharathy, his wife Prativa Maharathy, son Rudra Pratap Maharathy and daughter Pallavi Maharathy have property of Rs 16,833,806.Out of this Maharathy has property of Rs 12,181,717 while his wife has property of Rs 4,511,634. Culture and Cooperation Minister Prafulla Samal has landed property of Rs 150,720.While his wife has non-agricultural land valued at Rs 1,134,000. The minister’s wife has three buildings in her name valued at Rs 5,950,795.Minister for Textiles and Handloom Usha Devi has shown a building worth Rs 30 lakh in the name of her husband Trigunateeta Deb and jewellery worth Rs 8 lakh in her name.Besides, she has two cars. The total movable and immovable property of Food and Consumer Welfare Minister Niranjan Pujari is Rs 69,27,043. Steel and Mines Minister Raghunath Mohanty has shown property of Rs 1,618,281 in his name, in the name of his wife and son. Health and Family Welfare Minister Prasanna Kumar Acharya has shown property of Rs 76 lakh in his name.
