MPPEB row: 18 IAS officers including Chairman transferred in MP

In a major administrative reshuffle, Madhya Pradesh government has transferred 18 senior IAS officers, including chairman of the scam-hit MPPEB and principal secretary to Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan.

A P Shrivastava, who was posted as the chairman of the Madhya Pradesh Professional Examination Board (MPPEB) after it was rocked by the scam, was transferred as Principal Secretary (PS), Forest, in place of BP Singh, who has been posted as PS, Home, a senior official said on Sunday.

Additional Chief Secretary M Upadhyaya, currently posted as Agriculture Production Commissioner (APC), has been given the post of the new Chairman of the MPPEB.

As per the transfer orders issued yesterday, Iqbal Singh Bains has been posted as PS to Chief Minister and Aviation in place of Manoj Shrivastava, who has been transferred as PS Commercial Taxes and Culture, he said. R K Swai, who was PS Home, is now posted as APC.

K K Singh, PS, PWD, has been transferred in the same capacity to the Higher Education Department while PS Women and Child Development Department B R Naidu has been given the responsibility of SC/ST Welfare Department, the official said.

The other officials who have been given new postings in the reshuffle are Ashish Upadhyaya, posted as Officer on Special Duty (OSD) Treasury and Accounts and ex-officio PS Finance, J N Kansotia as PS Women and Child Development, S B Singh as Secretary Home, Shiv Shekhar Shukla as Secretary Mining, R K Mathur as Commissioner, Bhopal.

The others transferred include Ajatshatru Shrivastava as OSD Archeology and Museums, Neeraj Dube as Collector Khargone, Ravikant Jain as Additional Commissioner, Transport and Shekhar Varma as Collector Alirajpur, the official added.
