Katrina had worn a short dress during shooting at the shrine of Sufi saint Chisti drawing the management's ire.

New Delhi: Last year, Vipul Shah's movie Namaste London had been embroiled in a controversy over the length of Bollywood star Katrina Kaif's skirt.

Katrina had worn a short dress during the filming at the shrine of Sufi saint Khwaja Moinudeen Chisti in Ajmer, drawing the ire of a section of the servers and management there.

The management of the shrine had in retaliation served show cause notices to Katrina Kaif and others for filming a scene for a movie there without permission.

However, despite the hullabaloo, Shah has said the movie will be released with the scenes shot in Ajmer intact. Nonetheless, he added that if there was any objection raised, he was ready to reshoot the scene.

"There is no controversy related to the film shooting at Khawja Moinudeen Chisti's Dargah and the Anjuman Committee has supported the scene. No objection was made by anyone so far," Shah was quoted by news agency PTI as saying.

"I have published a written apology in two national dailies and the matter has ended now. Still if anyone has any complaint, I am ready to re-shoot the scene at the Dargah," Shah further told PTI.

Katrina had at that time been asked to file a reply to the notice within 15 days of receiving them and to tender a public apology.

The actress, wearing a knee-length skirt, entered the shrine with Bollywood star Rishi Kapoor on October 2 and offered a chadar (sheet) at the Sufi saint's dargah without written permission
