New Delhi: It may an all-women's final in Pakistan. After reports that former prime minister Nawaz Sharif's wife may return to the country, President General Pervez Musharraf’s wife is also about to step out of the shadows.
The ruling Pakistan Muslim League (Qaumi) President Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain has said that Sehba Musharraf would be a covering candidate for her husband in the election, sources report.
Chaudhry Shujaat said that the PML-Q was ready to consult other parties to remove their reservations on the presidential poll.
The Daily Times quoted Shujaat as saying that he had no objections to the return of Kulsoom Nawaz, wife of former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, to Pakistan.
Though parallels are being drawn in the media in Pakistan with Sehba and Lalu Prasad's wife Rabri Devi in Bihar, Dawn TV news editor Kamran Rehmat said there is little possibility that Sehba would actually emerge from the shadows of her husband to lead Pakistani politics.
