Navajeevanam anniversary

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Health Minister Adoor Prakash will inaugurate the fifth anniversary of Navajeevanam Free Dialysis Centre instituted by Sri Sathya Sai Orphanage Trust on Monday at Sai Gramam, Thonnackal. The dialysis centre,  set up to serve the most-deprived sections of the society, was inaugurated by then President A P J Abdul Kalam in 2006.The Navajeevanam centre, which has over 11 centres in nine districts of the state, had spent `8 crore for carrying out dialysis to the needy kidney patients. On June 30 this year, 75,000 free dialysis were done. The  Trust is also planning to extend its activities to the remaining districts.
