New Advocate General for Karnataka

BANGALORE: The state government on Saturday appointed new advocate general and gave new postings to four top police officers.BV Acharya has been appointed as advocate general. He had earlier served as the AG when Veerendra Patil and M Veerappa Moily were the chief ministers.Meanwhile, Shankar Bidari has been made DGP (CID), Kuchanna Srinivasan has been appointed as MD of police housing corporation. Sushant Mahapatra has been made the DGP, Karnataka Police Academy. A R Infant has been made DGP and Commandant Home Guards, Lalrokhuma Pachau, has been made DGP.
