The Jaipur-Mathura-Jaipur superfast special train service started from Sunday. North Western Railway chief public relation officer Tarun Jain said train number 02404 Jaipur-Mathura departs from Jaipur at 3.20 pm and reaches Mathura at 8.20 pm. Similarly, train 02403 Mathura-Jaipur superfast special departs from Mathura at 8.25 am and reaches Jaipur at 12.50 pm. These trains will run daily and this service will continue till October 1, 2013. The trains will halt at Gandhi Nagar, Jaipur, Dausa, Banidkui, Alwar, Brajnagar and Goverdhan stations.
Jaipur: Free medicines boon for HIV patients
More and more HIV/Aids patients are turning up to avail the second line anti-retroviral therapy (ART) due to increased awareness and cost-free treatment. Earlier, patients were not able to afford the treatment due to high prices and lack of awareness. Out of the 804 patients registered in the state, 642 come regularly for the first line anti-retroviral therapy. And 231 others, including both adults and children, are being given the second line anti-retroviral therapy. There are a total of nine kids getting second line ART in the state. Of them, five kids are availing the therapy at JK Lon Hospital. Besides, 84 adult patients are receiving this therapy at SMSHospital.

As the school bell signals the end of the day’s lessons, Tulsi, reluctantly heads out of her class. While her peers are occupied with thoughts of the playtime that will follow, Tulsi cannot help but think whether this is her last day at the SatyaBhartiSchool in the Judia village near Jodhpur. At the village government school where she started her education, Tulsi faced discrimination at the hand of her teachers, and eventually dropped out from school. At her new school, Tulsi’s desire to learn was reignited and she soon emerged as a bright student excelling in academics as well as sports such as kho kho. Tulsi was completely oblivious of her husband, who lived in the neighbouring Shekhara village. She had been married at the age of three [of which she had no memory] and was now being pressured by her in-laws to live with them. Though unwilling to give up her education, Tulsi had to move to Shekhara, where she diligently fulfilled her household duties and never gave anyone an opportunity to complain. Meanwhile, she kept trying to convince her in-laws to let her continue her schooling. Many arguments later, her in-laws finally relented and allowed her to attend school for about 12 days a month. Today she works extra hard to ensure that she is at par with her classmates.
Jodhpur: IIT, technical firm ink deal to train students
Rajasthan Electronics and Instruments Limited (REIL) managing director AK Jain signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Indian Institute of Technology, Jodhpur, director, Prem K Kalra. The memorandum has been signed with an objective of creating awareness among students about general technical requirement of industrial world for overall technical development.
Jaipur: 108 services ail as new firm yet to take charge
Patients continue to suffer due to the ongoing dispute between 108 emergency employees and NRHM officials. The new company GVR-EMRI has still not assumed complete charge of 108 services despite the new deadline of August 1 having passed.
