Nine students of BTech third year of MANIT have been issued warning by the proctorial board for engaging into a scuffle at a hostel on institute premises on Sunday night. The students have been asked to present their guardians before the proctors.

Indore: PMT qualifier meets official

Surabhi Agarwal, a resident of Sudama Nagar, was denied a seat in a government college despite cracking PMT-2013. Surabhi had lodged a complaint regarding the matter to the commissioner, IG, collector and additional collector. She was offered a seat in a private college where fee is Rs 4 lakh despite being eligible for getting admission in government colleges. On Tuesday, Surabhi turned up at the public hearing to lodge a complaint with the district administration.

Indore: 3-member committee to look into the suspension of 12 students

Devi Ahilya Vishwa Vidyalaya (DAVV) constituted a three-member committee to look into the suspension of 12 students of International Institute of Professional Studies (IIPS). Twelve students of MBA second year were suspended on Monday after they burnt the effigy of their faculty member, Prof Ravindra Yadav, alleging that he failed them in his subjects. A group of students thronged the IIPS campus and demanded that the institution should revoke its decision of suspending the students.

Bhopal: 5 medical colleges to increase seat in current session

Five medical colleges have increased their seats for admission in the current session. Shyam Shah Medical College, Rewa, will have 40 seats more. Netaji Subhash Chandra Medical College and Hospital, Jabalpur, Mahatma Gandhi Medical College, Indore, Raja Medical College and Research Centre, Gwalior and Gandhi Medical College, Bhopal, will have 10 seats more.
