HYDERABAD: Based on certain inputs that former all India president of the proscribed Students Islamic Movement of India (SIMI) Syed Salahuddin Salar may have had links with the terror modules operating in Kerala, a team from the National Investigation Agency (NIA) grilled the 40yearold on Thursday. It is understood to have got some more leads about the terror modules.
Salar, who belongs to Nalgonda district, is presently lodged in Cherlapally central prison. He was allegedly involved in the Sai Baba temple blast at Dilsukhnagar in November 2002.Sources told Express that the NIA team took special permission from the court to grill Salar inside the prison. "The NIA sought to know about his links with fundamentalists and some exSIMI members operating in Kerala. He has given some leads," sources said.
