No bigger God than truth itself

CHENNAI: Understanding of GodFor me honesty is God. One should do one’s work honestly and the rest will be taken care of. There isn’t a bigger god than sincerity and truthfulness. Also, for me religion and god are two separate things. Religion helps save our tradition and culture. Spiritual practicesI go to a temple every Thursday without fail. To feel closer to God, one doesn’t have to visit a temple, but somehow it offers contentment and satisfaction. Take on superstitionI think superstition is more scientific than blind faith. Earlier, people were not highly educated. Nowadays we are alert and aware of things around us and so don’t blindly follow someone or something. Belief in miraclesMiracles happen when you think about something and not work towards it. Earlier, I used to live in a rented flat and always wanted to buy a house. I never worked towards it but miraculously within a year, I bought a house worth `60 lakh. Also, I once wanted to visit the famous museums across the world but never worked towards it. And one fine day I was able to visit Berlin, Amsterdam and see all the beautiful museums there.Pilgrimage sitesGoing on a pilgrimage helps one physically more than mentally. You travel extensively, walk, run, and so you get to do a lot of physical exercise which otherwise doesn’t happen. I have enjoyed my trip to the Jammu Tawi temples. Monasteries intrigue me, some day I would like to visit a few.­
